In this screen shot the whale thingy that redstreak meet up with in the previous screen shot tries to swallow redstreak. The attempts of redstreak's kin to stop it whilst they would look really cool it done by someone with any level of artistic talent (hint hint) are futile. As such redstreak must run away, this is done by checking against redstreak stats, something that is indicated by the appear of one of those stats in block capitals. These checks can occur for various reasons e.g. throw a tank at another tank roll attack to lift it and speed to make it hit, someone steps on redstreak, check defence; making a hole in the wall to bust someone out of prison, check biochemistry; attacked by poisonous gas, check inertness; eat and whole cow before anyone knows its gone, check food and crop. These checks usually have minor effects on the storyline, e.g. less battles or act a gatekeepers to high level content, or sometimes none at all, the enemy tries again and gets redstreak,
however if they are passed they give a direct bonus to the stat being checked. Some of these checks and pass/fail whilst others have multiple level of success (usually how many enemies are taken down). The values to get and your results of these checks will be effect my all sorts of factors.
