This picture reminds me, we recently got a small track loader here from a local salvage yard, but we don't really know anything about it other than that it apparently has a Wisconsin motor. Can't seem to find any manufacturer names on it anywhere.
Main observations about it are that the wiring needs redone (previous owner seems to have gotten "creative" with it in places), that some parts appear to have originally been red then painted yellow while others appear to have always been yellow (??), and that it appears that something originally went up on both sides in the very front (and possibly across also?) but was cut off (you can still see the remaining stubs sticking up beside the battery and in the same spot on the other side).
Here's some pics if you want to make a guess at what it might be? (The ones marked "4K" are 12MP photos and show more details, the ones marked "1K" are smaller resized copies.)

Bit of a fixer-upper, but otherwise not bad.

Have you looked up "CLark" loaders? Or perhaps Chase? I'll show the photos to my friend Jim, as he might be able to give me a lead to the little loader's origins. By the way, how big is the engine, and see if there's any numbers on the casing. It looks like a "Mini 4," but I can't quite tell underneath the towel.
The only plates I see in http://www.pandawarez.net/trackloader/Left_4K.JPG are the black ones that say "REVERSE" "NEUTRAL "LOW" on the close side and a blank one that's part of a lever assembly on the far side, unless you're seeing a different one somewhere?
(Yes, the opposite of "REVERSE" is specifically labeled "LOW", not simply "FORWARD". )
