I drew this a while back but forgot to post it uncertain if anyone would actually show interest in art from Close Enough (JG Quintel‘s other series) but now decided to go ahead after the show officially got cancelled by HBO Max. The news honestly left me with a lot of grief. After all, if JG can’t make a series longer than 3 seasons anymore, and shows like Final Space are being wiped from digital existence by executives, do I really stand a chance in the entertainment industry? But enough of me contemplating over whether I should give up on my dreams or not, this drawing was inspired by one of my favorite episodes from Close Enough, The Canine Guy, which was also the season 1 finale. Basically they meet this lab created human dog hybrid they call Dog Boy, (his real name is Tory though) as he is on the run from this scientist that conducted those cruel and traumatizing experiments on him. Josh and Alex then develop a strong friendship with him, and other things happen too like Weird Al guest starring! I really don’t know what to do with myself right now tbh. I’m gonna see if I can still get somewhere, but the hope within me is fading and I’m gonna need something if I wanna keep it.
