Being stuck at home, and working with limited area to shoot has been a challenge. It has however given me a new perspective on some things, this Broad Wing Hawk has been visiting my house for years now, and I have never really had a chance to capture them with my 100-400 lens. In fact, while I was getting my equipment setup this time, the bird just flew away. I decided to just wait for a while and see if it came back, and low and behold, as I sat chatting on the phone it did indeed fly back over. I had, in the meantime decided on putting a 1.4 TC on with the lens. A good call, since I had a good idea where the bird may return to [closer would of been better, but we work with what we got!]. There was a second hawk sitting off in the woods, which is the first time I've had two in the area before, so It does give me hope they are setting up a more permanent residence near my house now. We have a strong population of small to midsized wildlife in my little valley, very exciting.
