I'd figured it would be best to have the general facts about Maximites in one place and thank you to everyone for taking the time to read :D
Universe Lore- This universe has a lot in common with the anime/games but there are two key differences.
First is that humans are seamlessly replaced by pokemon anthros. Humans have never existed in this version of Earth and anthros do battle each other in competitions much like how we see in the anime. Anthros live and act like humans do normally however since everyone is a pokemon in this world this means there is no trainer/catching dynamic like in the games/anime. Like the anime/games though the Pokemon League still exists, in fact it is central to anthro society. While it is up to themselves to participate most do and because it's so important this universe still retains many elements from the anime/games. Anthros training for the Pokemon League, going the pokemon center when fainted in battle, shopping at Poke-marts for items, and traveling the world for gym badges etc. Pokeballs also still exist while not used for capturing an anthro's pokeball acts as their passport/wallet. It usually serves as their official I.D. and instead of containing other pokemon anthros usually store their personal items like money, pokedex, phones, etc. While there are no humans if you know the anime/games than this universe will still be quite familier. In fact the world was still created by Arcues and was maintained through the legendaries and their powers and whereabouts are also tied to ancient myths and legends.
The Pokemon League has 2 divisions the minor league for (ages 10-17) and major league (ages 18+). Both divisions have only two catagories for competition single or double battles. The rules being to simply knock the opponent out, if the time limit is reached or the battle ends in a draw the winner will be decided by a panel of judges. Battlers may only use their own abilities, may hold only 1 non-healing item and no using any other items. When an anthro is defeated in battle they retire into their own pokeballs and stay inside until they enough time has passed for them to recover or somebody brings them to a pokemon center. To challenge a region's champion to claim a title one must collect 8 badges in that specfic region with in a year's time, win that region's annual championship and defeat the elite 4.
The second key difference is that while only a handful exist there are a sub species of anthro pokemon called Maximites. These pokemon have what is called the Ultramax gene embedded in their DNA granting them absolutely absurd powers. The Ultramax gene is excessively rare as the anthro population is in the billions but there are less than 100 Maximites. The Maximite species is almost exclusively female with an outrageous power difference between their male counterparts. While not much is known of the Ultramax gene it can be inherited through offspring like how Elilum Brunetale gave it to her daughter Valerie Brunetale.
They can grow at will with their size is only limited to their capabilities and they also have insanely powerful abilities that no other Pokemon of their species can have. Also some of them have Ultra versions of regular moves that work differently than the way moves work in the games or anime. The Ultramax also gives the anthro access to all unique pokemon powers and transformations such as Z moves, Tera types outside of the Paldea region, Mega evolutions etc. Female Maximites naturally grow into hyper body proportions in the chest, butt, and feet areas but male Maximites retain normal body proportions. However Maximites can increase the size of any specific body part they wish but can't decrease lower than their original size. The Ultramax gene doesn't fully activate until adulthood so those who have it won't even know until they are fully grown up where if female their body will spontastly grow into the hyper proportions they are famous for.
The biggest mystery that stupefies everyone is that the Ultramax gene somehow stops Maximites from dealing unintended or excess damage to all sentient life allowing them to knockout anyone but never kill. Unbelievably this means they can essentially grow to any size and act however they please without worry of injury to anyone. However another mystery of the gene is that every 24 hours it resets it's user's form and powers undoing all the damage and chaos Maximites bring to the cosmos.
Since Maximites are so overbearily powerful they had to be banned from competing in the Pokemon League. That is why one Maximite by the name of Lucien created the Maximum League. It serves as both a battling league for them and keeps a roster of all of them since all Maximites in the world are registered. This lets the world keep track of these incredibly strong beings but more importantly it helps.
The Maximum League is owned by Lucien and managed by Trish. League battles are only one vs one single battles or two vs two double battles (18+). Maximites usually wear clothes made of Dynaten an infinitely flexible fabric invented by Rikona that grows with them regardless of large they get. It also acts as an armor since the fabric is utterly invincible, only Maximites have ever damaged Dynaten. No items may not be used in any battle.
