Wendell Wolfe, Whywolf Wizard, Agent of Edgewatch
I ended up making Wendell for an Agents of Edgewatch campaign in Pathfinder 2, so this is a quick reference I threw together for that AU version of him.
Wendell is a fine, upstanding beastkin. He stands at a staggering 8 feet tall (though if you measured using his feet, he’d only stand about 4.), and has the physique of a chiseled Osiriani god. Despite his impressive musculature, Wendell is a wizard and a gigantic nerd. He is shy but kind and likeable, and can fit in with just about anyone thanks to his disarming demeanor.
Wendell was born in Ustalav to a werewolf mother and hound father. They fled the country when Wendell was just a boy to escape rural discrimination. As a young man he studied at the Arcanamirium, the most prestigious magical school in the world, and funded his studies by working as an assistant librarian in their vast library of arcane knowledge. Shattering everyone’s expectations, Wendell graduated from the entry level wizarding course with honors (impressing everyone with his thesis on staff synergy).
Post-graduation, Wendell found employment in the Forae Logos — the largest library in the city — and lived in one of their storage rooms. When not on-duty, wendell would endeavor to take his vast knowledge to the less privelaged areas of the city. Despite the danger, the large wolfkin could be regularly seen wetting his (sizeable) feet in The Puddles to teach underprivelaged youths (and adults) reading and writing. His best friends in the city are a cackle of gnolls that were trapped in the city after the Katapesh travel ban.
When Wendell was approached to join the Edgewatch, he assumed they needed someone to manage the records room — he’d gotten his job at the Forae Logos on a recommendation from the Arcanamirium library — and was surprised to find that the Edgewatch wanted him on active duty. While intimidated at the prospect, Wendell came around to the idea of helping bring education to the recently reclaimed district of the city.
