It's no secret to many of you that I have a weak spot for dragons with manes. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I've always found them to be an incredibly pretty addition. I'd seriously considered giving Valia one way back when, but held off for a few reasons. Still, I can't help but wonder about giving her a mane sometimes, and to that point I've had a few concepts floating around for what a mane on Valia might look like.
This mane was drawn by my artist friend
and it's a fun take on Valia with an elegant mane. It was one of my favorites from the concepts, and progressed onward to a proper portrait piece.
