Hunger rules the predator and fear drives the prey -- but change is coming.

To get in before any confusion-- yes, the black/grey wolf is the same as the one who chased Rask through the woods, he just has a new name. I talked about it on Patreon ages ago but here's the shorthand version: when I first started the comic (first draft is from 2013), the wolves were literally A, B, C, D, since I didn't think I'd be continuing the story very far and the wolves never had lines. I was just working on the comic to keep my mind off a bad breakup. [Here's a public Patreon post with some original pages and more backstory, for the curious.]
Anyhow, obviously I decided to stick with the story and I developed it more in 2015. His placeholder name stuck around for awhile, but ultimately it didn't fit the world's nomenclature and I changed it for the print version and current online versions.
Last year, Patreons got to vote on his new name, and a 'seral' for anyone unaware is a type of environment in transition, usually after a burn.

Wauw, reading about how this story even came to be,
what you went through at the time and how it fueled
your productivity is really interesting to read. I Never
thought that such negative events could be channeled
into something like this comic but you certainly did it.
And I'm glad that you found this comic as your outlet
instead of something much more destructive to do.
Very inspiring. Well done. =) I'm glad that you were
able to pull yourself out of this together with the
help of your new partner. 👍

Yep this sounds more and more like a truce of needs between Swift and her pack and Oren and his "Hollow Army" to sustain predator and prey once Swift learns the truth. Which at this point is a given imo as she will investigate and be careful cause of the bear territory she enters and will spot a not so mangy marten in a group with a badger and a groundhog like prey animal which will pop the farce they kept up.
