During Friday night (July 1st) I was at a major astronomy camp out with 250 others. I was imaging, and had attempted to photograph the North American Nebula, in the constellation of Cygnus.
What I didn't know, is that near that nebula's location was another called the Iris Nebula. I'd never seen it before, or heard of it. But, when a fellow camper from San Diego mentioned that what I had, I was stoked!
Here's a 120 second, ISO 6400 exposure. I then took (at ISO 800) 60, one minute exposures. That's what I'll use to make processed images that look better than this. However, it's still very cool!
