Tom & Jerry The Yankee Doodle Mouse Stamp Licking Recreat...
Recreation of a lost deleted scene of the 1943 Tom and Jerry short: The Yankee Doodle Mouse in which Jerry runs inside his mousehole while Tom chases after him, Tom sticks his head inside the hole as Jerry has a collection of World War II era stamps and a booklet thingy that he takes one of them and places it on Tom's tongue that reads: Enemy gets in a few good licks! When this said short was reissued in 1950 by MGM the entire scene was cut out in later showings of the short due to the "dated" and World War II related themes that would've been deemed out of place or too racy to keep in, meaning that we're left with only the 1950 reissued version with the whole scene cut out especially on airings on all Warner Bros. Discovery channels: TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network & Boomerang. Especially in the 1995 Turner Prints. Or any channel for that matter if only a pre-1950 print of this short would resurface someday there has to be at least a 16mm or Super 8 copy of the short, It's sad tho those damn fires made this scene become lost and unavailable screw MGM for cutting this scene out and not preserving the original uncut pre-reissued master film reels containing these cut and rare scenes and title cards and original endings. Sorry if this one isn't so good. © 1940, 1943-2022. Tom and Jerry belongs to: Warner Bros. & Warner Bros. Discovery. All Rights Reserved.
