Biography: SpringMan.EXE is one of 2 NetNavis; the other being GeminiMan.EXE, created by Junichiro for his daughter Marzipan to use while in the Battle Network universe, and around the Olympian household. As Marzipan tended to be really shy & reclusive around other people, Marzipan's father constructed her a PET & made the netnavis who inhabit it as a means of building up morale for her to overcome her shyness & make new friends. His efforts paid off as Marzipan was becoming more social with other people thanks to GeminiMan.EXE & SpringMan.EXE. SpringMan.EXE bares a great deal of resemblance to the robot master he is modeled after. However, while his springs appear to be made of metal, they're actually made of energy as navis hardly have metal in their bodies anyway. His forearms & legs have the basic netnavi build to appear slimmer, and the spring consisting of his head is more stable, but still tends to be very bouncy. In the Battle Network universe, he was introduce to the students of Class 5-A where Marzipan was enrolled as an student-assistant due to her being too old to be an actual student. SpringMan.EXE was a lively hit with his bouncy prowess & was proven to be quite a strong combatant as well when he went up against a number of netnavis that challenged him to a battle. It also helped Marzipan open up to others as a result. At one point, during the power plant incident, SpringMan.EXE proved to be a clever one as he made use of the springs making up his body to use as Tesla coils to provide power to certain areas in the plant's network for as long as possible until it was back on. Even so, he still gets his usages when the situation calls for it. SpringMan.EXE is a spontaneous & somewhat carefree spirit, but the latter doesn't mean he doesn't care about his friends; which he does indeed care for. However, he can be elusive at times. Given his body is made of springs, he likes to see how high he can jump in the air, but tends to have problems with low ceilings. This is more evident when he's using a copybot instead of being in the network. The craftiest with spring work.
Abilities: SpringMan.EXE has no element, so he has no elemental weakness to speak of. However, while he has no attribute either, his spring-based construction makes him vulnerable to sword-attributed attacks; a callback to his original counterpart being weak to a cutter weapon. Versatility is SpringMan.EXE's middle name. He is fast & nimble, but strong enough to hold his own in a netbattle. He makes extreme use of his flexibility to its max potential during a battle. Be it for mobility or defense, SpringMan.EXE is always watching to make himself a tricky opponent to hit. He also was programmed with an immunity to electric attacks, much like his robot master counterpart. This too he puts to good effect when necessary. His abilities & attacks are as follows.
Spring Punch: SpringMan.EXE's basic melee attack. He punches the targeted space an enemy is on. He will throw 2 punches total. This can be charged to throw 4 punches instead.
Spring Stomp: SpringMan.EXE jumps up & stomps the targeted space an enemy is standing on.
Spring Ball: SpringMan.EXE's basic ranged attack. Fires a ball that bounces about the enemy field until it hits an opponent.
Spring Missile: SpringMan.EXE's charged ranged attack. This fires a bouncing missile that will act as a pit hockey attack until it explodes, or it hits an opponent.
Mad Coil: SpringMan.EXE launches a bouncing coil down his current row. The coil will then bounce about 2 columns once it has enough room to do so.
Wild Coil: A stronger variation of Mad Coil. SpringMan.EXE launches 2 coils instead of one, and instead of following a set path, they bounce around unpredictably so the coils can go down either a whole row, column, or a mix of both. This attack can be charged to make the coils bounce longer.
Magnetized Body: At any point SpringMan.EXE is hit with an electric attack, he will not take damage, but become magnetized; drawing in his attacker. Should he grab his opponent, he will immediately follow with another attack.
Ceiling Smash: After grabbing an opponent, SpringMan.EXE immediately summons a rock cube that hovers above the field, and smashes his opponent into it. The rock cube is destroyed after the attack is successfully executed. Sometimes he'll summon an ice cube instead to inflict Aqua-Type damage.
Coil Trap: SpringMan.EXE will sometimes elongate his body to ensnare his target. Should he succeed, the opponent is squeezed & bounced about for about 4 hits.
Spring Carnival: SpringMan.EXE's ultimate attack. He unleashes 6 fully charged wild coils that bounce all across the battle field without pause for 8 seconds. The coils never hit mystery data on the battle field.
