Kuma is the bearer of the "black embers" and the successor of "Raviel van Siegheart", who wore them before him but ultimately fell into madness in this world and was banished to the void by the hyena "Cooper" as a result.

After Kuma awakened the powers of the black ember and was able to establish a connection with Raviel, he managed to stay in raviel's world for a limited time... and learned more about his past.
