Abby Gets Her Tattoo [February 22nd 2022]
For some reason I didn't realize it was 22/02/22 when I did this piece, or else I'd have definitely called it Abby's Tattoo Twos-Day! Mind you, it's probably for the best that I didn't, as I'm now uploading this on the first Thursday of July.
Anyway, this is another piece that has its roots in that aborted sequel series about an adult Abby Clapton. At some point, one of us suggested that one of the wealthy and refined Sam Rhys' rare concessions to cutting loose was a tramp stamp depicting the Prince of Wales' Feathers (in deference to her own Welsh heritage). Naturally, it didn't take us long to decide that Abby might decide to follow suit. So here we see them both in the tattoo studio, with Abby learning - the hard way - just how goddamn painful the process can be.
If truth be told, I only did this piece so I could include the cameo by
Jake the Desert Fox 's own JJ Jackson - eminent tattoo artist, and the older sister of Reed Jackson. Y'know, that kid who looks suspiciously like the Midnight Fox...?
