From Christmas 2009...I always used to cite this one story I was fascinated by about an eastern European Christmas icon known as "The Krampus" that was the antithesis of Santa Claus. Santa would reward the good children while Krampus would punish the naughty ones. Apparently he was quite well known and is still used in many European Christmas celebrations.
