Introducing Crab-Girl! A superhero who was originally a marine biologist, caught in a radiation explosion which caused her DNA to get mixed up with an Atlantic Blue Crab. She now fights evil that dare to harm the sea life, while also being joyful and optimistic with her life despite being constantly labeled as a monster by the public. She currently fights along side a team called the Coat of Arms to deal with supervillians from across the globe
This character has been on my mind for years, but the one thing thats always held me back from drawing her is the mouth. Crabs have a unique way of eating and i wanted to avoid drawing a normal looking mouth for an anthropomorphic crab, yet i didn't want to make it too detailed and get bored of drawing it, so i've found a happy balance when i did her concept art. Originally she was going to be a red crab, but i felt basing her off of a blue crab would make her stand out from most fictional and crab OCs, and to make her look somewhat monsterous than cute or sexy looking
