This was a gift type thing for
Rika. She's an awesome person, and in many ways, my mentor in my art.
I did this a few days ago when she was having problems with her computer, and was one of the first things I did after my art bug bit me. This was.. I dun know.. 4-5 hours? I'm semi-pleased with it. There are several things that I want to fix, but for being done in 3ish layers (Sorta, the main head is the same image repeated a few times to thicken the edges), I'm happy with it.
I did shamelessly use one of the pictures in her ref sheet as a very very base to try and get the concept of shape down, and I took some liberties with the eye marking. She also offered me a bit of help with fixing the slope of the head and muzzle, and helped me figure out just what I didn't like about the back ear.
That being said, we all gotta start somewhere, right? I hope to improve from this point going forward.
