The ironic part is that the design was still fine, anything is better than the original Lola.

Looney Tunes Show version is best by far, but this gag wouldn't make sense.

Yes, LTS Lola is the best, they gave her an ACTUAL character.

Honestly, the only weird part was that the redesign even happened. Cause the mindset behind it was regressive and body-shaming as FUCK (literally saying women can't be sexy and also smart, competent role models, and claiming no real woman could ever resemble Lola, ie. having boobs and a pretty face, apparently), done entirely because the director was personally disgusted by Lola, and undermined by Lola actually doing and saying far less and having way less character than in the original movie (seriously, I should not be able to say Rick Sanchez had more importance in a SPACE JAM movie than Lola Bunny, and yet here we are), along with them sexualizing her anyway by having her be the only one with a lingering ass shot during the Looney Tunes' 2D-to-3D transition scene, and yet it was supposed to be seen as some "progressive" move. In which they basically straight-up told women how to feel about the character.

I agree; the reason behind the redesign was the problem, not the change in itself (although I think they did a sloppy job, but that describes the whole movie). It's not really fun to have someone get huffy and wag their finger in your face because they have some kind of personal issues instead of just making an honest movie that's concerned more with having fun.
