Born into a noble house, Elwyna spent her first years happy with her loving family. However dark times were soon cast upon the House of Alcot. In secret other noble families plotted against them, aiming to cut down their political power and wipe them out. Within weeks the powerful men and women of House Alcot were eliminated, leaving only the weakest alive and casting most left into exile.
Left with no family, Elwyna was adopted by her late uncle’s squire Marcel. Life never got any easier and the pair had to roam from place to place, avoiding areas that still had some lords who remembered her family’s name. During the years Marcel taught Elwyna how to wield a sword and fight. Such skills would be necessary in the future, for another clandestine group was now after her.
