most obscure sneek peek ever, i know XD
and it is not very exciting to see just the eye...
but this is still at least a good week away from getting done since the body is giving us a headace...that ANnnnnnnnd my sister
wolfgem is supposed to do the markings (since this is for her) and she is prone to procrastination and i am doing my best to keep her motivated but she works like a snail some times D: and she does do most the chores since i work like constantly on fursuit commissions...so i get the "i'm to tired to work on it now" line a lot...but UGH I WANT TO SEE IT DONE!!!
so this is the best you get for now till we get closer to done.

After reading your journals and comments, seeing this eye's shape and color, and paying a visit to your sister's page...I think I figured out what it is! If I'm right, my older sister is going to freak. She has been obsessed with this character for years...
Out of curiosity, will you be making blinking eyes an option on your suits or making a tutorial of sorts? I REALLY want to try this now, but I have no idea how to program anything :P

the blinking is sort of a one time deal, i just happened to have a moving toy i murdered that would work for this and i had room inside the "skull" to fit it in (the unit is like where the creatures brains would be, lol)
and with how much time and fuss went into getting them to blink evenly and getting the lids lined up and balanced right i am in NO HURRY to do blinking eyes again...they were SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS! XD

Hey just curious, maybe if you had large eyelids on the roof of the eyes that were attached to strings through some elastic pulley system, the wearer could pull the strings every time they wanted to close the eyes. I was thinking something similar to this http://www.matrices.net/fursuit/earmechanism.gif Do you think it could work? It'd be a much simpler way to make the eyes blink instead of having to dismantle a toy :P

though seriously, the markings are like 75% hand sewn and the rest of the body is not sewn together yet.
we are hoping to debut on xmas eve, lets hope my sis can have it done by then. if i was doing all the work it'd be done by now but i needed to get back to commissions, so i left all the seiwng on the body and the zipper installment in her hands.
