This has to be my favorite page of the comic, even though it is "Anticlimaxal" in the story. Look at the richness of textures, reflections and surfaces. Everything looks wet, and slick, except the heroine, sheltered under her umbrella. This page reminds me so much of the wet and cold winters up in the Pacific North West, like around Seattle, Portland. Job well done.
Great... I'll have to look up "Antidimaxal" now....
It took a LOT of layers and cleanup to get this just right and not go "overboard". I have to remind myself constantly that I'm not trying for photo-realism here... but I don't want a simple space-fill neither. It's always a balance game of not enough or too much.
