He's all done, and is having a beer to celebrate. This is a free pattern that
matrices and I are going to be releasing in the next couple of days. He's mostly handsewn, the only thing not custom are the eyes I used on him, purchased from a craft store going out of business last year. Brighton is over 25" tall, and I think he's one of the coolest things I've made this year.
His neck, arms, legs, and tail are all jointed, so he's fully posable. His feet are stuffed with poly-pellets, so they're extra heavy, the rest of the body is stuffed with polyfill. He's very squishy and cuddly. The nose is sculpey. I omitted his saberteeth and back/tail spikes because I wanted him to be huggable, and didn't think that fleece or vinyl replacements would be very snuggly.
Ideally, we want to bring these guys to FC 2011 for a big photoshoot! So you guys had better get your creative pants on and make some, using the pattern to make your own. He took about 4 days to make (allotting time to make mistakes), and about a yard of fabric total (mostly small pieces, great use for leftover scraps from a fursuit). In fact, he's made entirely of leftover fur from the Brighton fullsuit.
