It's summertime at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Between the first and second years at the academy, Midshipman go out on Yard Patrol craft from Annapolis to Boston and back. Their jobs are to learn what it's like to life and serve aboard a U.S. Navy vessel for a few weeks.

Cari and her friends (I meant to draw them all but didn't have time) are assigned a Yard Patrol craft and on board they will be doing chores, such as cleaning the deck and tying knots. However, they will also learn how to operate the craft, such as steering and navigation. Each will take turns piloting and commanding the craft.

It's a hard task, but for these Midshipmen, it's going to be an experience they wont forget. Good luck to them!
