I didn't take the name Bismarck because of the warship, but because of namesakes like Otto Von Bismarck or Nikolaus von Bismarck. In addition, there is no warship with the name Wilhelm or Alexander as these are rather named after places like Dresden (but there are also a few exceptions).
The names are Wilhelm and Bismarck are more of Prussian origin (i.e. German origin) and I also thought that the name Alexander also fits (has a different origin).
