The other day, I had a tune in my head that was going something like this, and I wondered what would happen if I channelled that kind of tune with the Electric Piano sound on Online Sequencer, and it turned out to sound a bit like some kind of traditional music... From the Oromo people of southern Ethiopia, who happen to be the largest ethnicity by population in Ethiopia.
Sadly, I don't speak Oromo, but I found at least some words (like 'Jimmaa', the name of a big city in the Oromo part of Ethiopia, and 'piyaanoo', whose 'oo' isn't like the English 'ooh' sound) to make myself more motivated enough to finally get on with making SOME kind of Oromo-style music.
In case you're wondering why there's a small cup of coffee in the middle of the thumbnail, it's because Jimma is thought to be where the origin of coffee was. There's even a monument with a giant Ethiopian-style coffee pot on it.
