I do agree, better to get the technique down and get as many drawings done as possible to get the shape right, and embellish later!
Anyway, I'm not going to complain because pencil sketches = <3 and this is radical! I love his expression, it's so rough! About to fight with the man who stole a very important cog from a village store thus causing the near-end of the world, is he?

In order to have a good colored piece you need a good pencil sketch. :)
