Scream Guy Pawpet Show Opener model sheet
<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
What I've been up to the past month or so. I've created model sheets for all the characters that are going to be in the opener for the Funday Pawpet Show that I'm animating.
You can find out more about the show here: http://pawpet.tv/
Scream Guy is the grim reaper with an Elvis accent, performed by Herbie. One touch will kill ya, though another will bring you back to life, and this turns into death slapstick often enough on the show. Scream Guy also shows up in skits where celebrities have died, usually with a humorous story about what happened (He was going to wait until after the concert tour, but felt sorry for Michael Jackson and just wanted to give him a hug, and OH GOSH OH DANG). He's frequently around during Halloween too.

If you're gonna be around the internets tomorrow from 6 to 10, that's when the next live show airs. Click the watch link on pawpet.tv, and point your favorite IRC client to join the live IRC audience. Tomorrow is the telethon show, where they try to raise funding for another year of the show, but unlike a PBS telethon, they actually try to deliver good content during the show rather than holding the content hostage for money. :D
(Music licensing for the show this year is gonna run $5000, and that's with the stipulation in the licensing that no copies of the show are sold, can only be given away free - so fundraisers and independent donations are really the only way they can keep going)
http://pawpet.tv/episode_guide - see here for past shows, though Yappy may wind up taking the full archives back down again, since their licensing also requires them to monitor downloads, and pay more if the number of free copies distributed goes above a certain number. :P (also why they cannot offer the episodes via bittorrent - that doesn't keep track of the number of downloads) Last week's episode was incredibly crazy and just wrong, since Mutt suggested that looking up "Rule 34" with safesearch on would be show-safe. The Halloween episode was great too, considering the elaborate setup they had for Halloween this year. :D

Surprisingly no. The hands are roughed in with normal construction (or like I *should* do normally but usually don't), and I just outline each section with a fast-sketched peanut-shape - and do one for each finger in the palm too. A solid hand with fingernails and knuckles would actually take more effort. :D
