Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Stonewall Riots/Uprising. When the American LGBT+ (then known as just gay) community had barely any of the rights we have now, the patrons fought back against a police raid on the bar that would have taken the one safe place they had in the world. And what a hell of a time to be talking about fighting back against authority, because with the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade, injustice Thomas has set his sights on other SCOTUS cases that trigger him, most relevant to this Lawrence v. Texas and Obergefell v. Hodges. And given that three of the other deciding injustices Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Grosuch said in their hearings they wouldn’t touch Roe but did anyway, I fear they’ll help Thomas put Lawrence and Obergefell to the block, too, no matter how much they say they won’t. I’m not saying resort to violence now, but if they try to take everything, give them hell. Keep the fight and spirit alive, comrades.
