I know in some fictional universes, hybrids are natural, and all over the place. In mine I don't do hybrids at all. I imagine that viable hybrids would be extremely difficult to achieve, as you're depicting, and, really, Sarah and Stargazer should be happy with their two children. Maybe try to adopt more, from different species, to create a nice big blended family, and satisfy Sarah's mothering instinct.
