The lich, for the first time in centuries, has his hunger finally sated. No longer hungry, he lets Butch's limp form slump to the ground. The lich holds his hands in front of himself and looks over his own body. Not only was he once again whole, but hardier than ever. The raw energy drawn from the barbarian and his vitality talisman has left the ancient creature with an enviable physique like he'd never had before.
Though unconscious, Butch still breathes. The vitality amulet, though its energy is badly depleted, feeds every ounce of energy it can generate into the barbarian's steaming, exhausted body. In time it will replenish Butch's energy, but can it revive him in time before the lich turns his attention back to the prone hero?
