Another character from my Hunger series I drew back in 2020 - this is Marrow the Bearded Vulture. :D

Seen as Bearded Vultures' diets consist almost entirely of bones (70-90%), a gravedigger/graverobber would be a fitting role for him in a world of anthro animals. :D

Working as a kind of 'clean up crew' for bodies, Marrow works with a bunch of other scavenger species who specialize in eating different body parts, and he's a lot more grouchy and stubborn than they are (as a reference to how bearded vultures are more aggressive than other vulture species). In a similar manner to Rose being shunned for her blood diet, Marrow could share a story with Rose about how he can relate to her hunger driving her to desperation and other citizens assuming he'd want to kill innocent animals just to eat them. :( (Bearded vultures do attack live prey more often than other vultures. D8 )

Marrow also has a knack for learning how someone died by examining their bones - for example, learning how hard of an impact someone from blunt force trauma could have been or if there was a struggle between two parties. :)
