Seeing smaller folks walking around is a rarity in most Kinta neighborhoods, so Loranna doesn't really know what to think when she encounters one so close to home. Outside of controlled scenarios, she's actually a little scared of them, but don't say that to her face.

The ladder was a bit of an afterthought; in retrospect having some sort of ramp or stairway along the side might be superior... this is probably an older design, given how worn it is, but it's certainly not a highly trafficked area either way. In the more built-up areas of the city, these two wouldn't have to share at all.
