While the Alien Desert region of Halogen in the Dacutter Island Underworld can't exactly be described as Barren, it is littered with the spiky Energy Crystals and underground Nests of Psionic Worms and Scrape Roaches.
Near the North Coast is the Impenetrable Dome, a constructed colony of Rihanna Vicoul and armed with Turrets, the few entrances being loose pipes and tiny holes that only Rats can climb through. Melancho enters and exits using one of his spells, Void Step Warp.
To the east though not seen here, Volkanstrom Depths is within a harsh mountain of volcanic rock, a piece of the core of the planet that Dacutter Island was once a part of. To the west, the dark jungle of Havestor with innumerable undying trees and a frozen mountain surrounding it from the north, a land full of giant bugs and other hostile creatures.
Weather is rarely to be worried about unless a storm happens. Then it's electromagnetic and anything metal gets thrown around, even RoBats. It's not fun.
