This is Shiki! Shiki is a cubi gargoyle hybrid that lives in my homebrew world of Evvora, in the densely forested country of Uligantha. A country that combines the fae and folklore of England and parts of Germany with the culture, style and mythos of eastern Asia with a focus on China, Korea and Japan as those are the ones I know best.
He's a ballad, which is a magical core type native to the world. He's been traveling around with his best friend and occasional lover Shoji for several years now. They used to have a third named Kenzu but he's run off recently for reasons they aren't sure of.

Shiki and Shoji are traveling adventurers for hire. They take up missions to defend villages, clear up conflicts and simply aid where it's needed. They are building up quite the positive reputation under their sash's. Shiki himself is a bit of an odd site, gargs and cubi are not uncommonly together but gargs do not produce offspring so easily or often. Still, he is reasonable enough seeming and Uligantha is open to all so he's wildly accepted. That and his gun-ho positive personality that wins him many a friendly face.
Shiki loves his parents very much and has learned both magic from his mother and weaponry from his father, that along with a lethal set of natural weaponry make him quite formidable and likely even more so when he's matured into his early thirties. Still whenever possible he prefers to solve things with little conflict, bargaining and board games are a favorite resolver of his. If you want to know more you are welcome to ask.
