A mortal can fire it. Don't be down range if they fire more than one round.
There is enough room for the weapon to cycle. Its designed as a short recoil system with springs and dampers mounted in front and mostly above the barrel. Both the bolt assembly and the rear trunnion are likely quite beefy as they are likely to kiss with some of the hotter rounds.
I didn't draw a muzzle brake option but it will help a lot with controlling the weapon with one attached. Also didnt draw the larger 30-round extended magazine that would give the SMG a more practical amount of ammunition. Well 15 is already a world more ammo than the 6 to 7 rounds that most 45s carry.
The fact that I drew it a stock that blocks the ejection port when folded while an oversight on my part, isn't necessarily a bad thing. One should be shouldering this beast before firing.
Though the current design of the stock does defeat the thought of having it control the firing mode like those older pre-ban era pistols where attaching a stock allows the option of full auto fire. Semi-automatic only when the stock is folded forward. While having the stock closed unlocks the full auto and even burst fire modes.
Maybe replace it with a taller one with a larger opening with the top shaped to allows for a cheek weld. Or slim the stock down more in the style of the wire stocks and just have most of the length of the stock rest below the level of the ejection port.

Thanks!
I aimed for a sleek and functional look without an shell of excess of plastic for cosmetic appearance on some of the more scifi looking SMGs made.
Its far removed from the original what if thought of an upscaled MAC10 or Uzi in 45 for the setting. Since it is drawn I can pick beautiful features and combine them around a functional core.
