Onoz. Flashbacks.
Here you get to see how they looked when they were...oh, twelve. XD Notice how drastic they've changed; they just had more childish looks of their original designs when they were younger, so yeah. A lot less original-looking.
Granted for a knock-off looking character, I still thought Dustin was unique. I could point out at least four things (five if this were colored) that made him original back then.
Then there's Junior. The unoriginal generic hedgehog character. Everyone still wouldn't shut up about how 'sexy' he was. XD Except for the ones who tossed the 'recolor with bangs' thing at me. My pal Goji had an interesting response to that:
"Besides, he's not a recolor. He's still blue." XD I'm glad Junior's changed so much over the years. I really am.
Anyways, Junior's biggest fear is, surprise, his father. He always had some sort of hatred or fear going on, so he ran away a lot. Naturally a best friend is the one to go to. And Dustin always helped him run away. They never got far, and were always returned home, but dammit, they tried!
On one of their outings, Dustin tried for the first time to get close to his friend, which only lead Junior to feel...incredibly awkward. It was a while before either of them talked to eachother again after that (well, probably only a few months), and they both acted like it never happened afterwards. It wasn't until four years later that Dustin flat out told Junior that he was in love with him, but was unfortunately shot down.
This is also the only time they've ever kissed, or really shown signs of intimacy outside of hugging. In other words, probably the most intimate Junior/Dustin scene ever (except all those smut pics I doodled back in my retarded phase, none of which are on, or are worthy of being on the internet. It was a 'wtf is anatomy' phase. XD).
I forgot to color in Dustin's eyelids on one of the drawings. Oh well. XD Also, drawing these two...my pics are less sketchy when I do. I take more time with them. <3 I should do it more often.
Only time will tell what happens with these two. Will they get together? Or go their separate ways? Will I be forced to make alternate realities? D: I guess I'll find out, eventually. <3 <3
