It’d been two weeks since Marcurio had taken the kids on a hunting trip, and Hunter had been…sleeping mostly, thanks in full to carrying the third addition to their family.
She’d missed her husband and children, but having them away and the house quiet had been a welcome break. Since they’d left, the cooking pot had been cool more days than hot, and Hunter found that her friends had been easily self-sufficent as house guests; Serana scouting the area for any bandit activity, and Aela hunting in secret whenever needed to satiate any lycanthropic cravings.
The vampire and werewolf had been tense for a little while upon meeting, but within a couple of nights, were much more relaxed with each other, and settled down to the point of fast friendship. Even if it was still a little awkward at times, they’d seen to the mutual benefit of each other, taking shifts through night and day to see that the Khajiit and her home were safe from the looming threat of vampire attacks.
It was getting late into the evening, and the Khajiit had started growing anxious. Her husband was supposed to be back earlier in the day, and through she didn’t doubt his prowess as a fighter (not to mention that he’d taken two more of their warrior friends along on the trip), she still found herself fidgeting nonetheless. She perched on the raised flowerbed just outside the front door, scanning the horizon until it was finally dark out, before turning back inside to pace along the kitchen.
Unsurprisingly, pacing about the house didn’t make the time go any faster either, so she settled to sitting on the balcony, leaning herself on the small table that watched over the tundra. A small sigh escaped her, and she propped a furred cheek in her palm, dozing off after a few minutes…
…until a short while later, a gentle touch squeezed her shoulder, and she turned an ear in the direction of a soft voice.
“Would you like to come inside, or should I bring the extra blankets out?”
Hunter’s eyes snapped open, suddenly awake, and she leapt up, hugging her husband as well as she was able, in spite of her belly.
“I was starting to wonder if I needed to give you and the table some quality alone-time.” The mage smiled, petting her hair and returning the hug.
“Are you okay?” she asked, glancing him over to see he was unharmed, “I’ve been worried since this morning, when you hadn’t come back home…”
“I’m sorry for worrying you, but, all is well. The kids wanted to stop at a couple places on the way back home, and they made doubly sure that we brought back as many sweet rolls as we could find.”
“Oh? How many did they talk you into getting?” the Khajiit squinted at him, eager for the sweet dough.
“Well, after eating two each, we managed to escape with three. I might be overthinking it, but they might’ve tricked me into buying more than you could eat, so decided to help you out…”
“How brave of them!”
“Hmm, yes, and suffering the stomachaches for you, no doubt.”
“Aww, my poor sweeties! I’ll hafta go downstairs and give them the perfect healing kisses.”
“It’d be better than the strongest healing potion, for sure. They’ve missed you…” Marcurio placed his hands on the sides of her belly, giving their growing baby a gentle touch before leaning down, “...and so have I.”
I'm not the best writer or artist at 5am, but...enjoy anyway?
More Skyriiimmm. A friend and I were talkin 'bout babies yesterday, and since I been wanting to continue this piece https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47349853/ , well... here we are. I'm suuuch a sucker for romance, especially when it involves a healthy relationship/marriage. OR at least, I hope to depict that as well as I can anyway :>

Ahh yess, well, I do like sleeping, don't fear~ However, I've royally screwed up my sleeping schedule, and find it very difficult to get back on track. Many stresses and things to think about, y'know?
Thank you~ For some reason I find them to be a very cathartic subject to draw and write, so there seems to be a lot of ideas in my head. I'll be looking at trying to draw some Argonians at some point too, hehehe. It'd be nice if they weren't so hard to find naturally, outside of the danged assassins that keep trying their mettle along the roads.

Oh man, that would be SO much fun! Her ‘immediate’ family were the least happy about her exile, in spite of her lycanthropy, so it’d be really enjoyable to build their personalities and relationships more, show the dynamics and allifnthey came to visit. They’d also have quite a lot to say in terms of her family; adopted children, inter-racial husband, best friends with a powerful vampire, yknow, the uuusuaallll.
