I don't have the time or will right now to finish the comic I started for Anna way back. So, I decided to put together a all the information I had planned out for it so those that really wanted to know the backstory I had for her can at least have something. Maybe someday I'll get around to finishing this but with how long the last few sequences I've done have taken and with how much longer this would be then those I really don't want to commit the time to it. In the mean time you'll just have to settle for this.
Backstory:
Anna Mercury was born as Anna Miyagawa. The daughter of wealthy corporate parents who worked as executives at one of the large security firms in the city Anna lives in. In her late teens and after years of fighting with her overly strict parents and dealing with her hatred of the cut throat corporate environment she grew up in, Anna ran away from home into the outskirts of the city to try to make it on her own. Cutting out her identification chip to make sure she wasn’t found she unknowingly escaped a hostile takeover that resulted in the assassinations of several executives and their families including her own.
Not sure what to do after running away, Anna fell back on her experience with firearms from her time with her parents' security firm, scraping by doing odd jobs, mercenary work, and working as a bouncer. After many rough years she began to gain a reputation and started to get more reliable work.
During a job to take out a notorious local gang leader she found Rex Tomson being held and tortured by the gang, Rex had been trying to take revenge on the leader who had killed his brother after his brother hadn’t paid back money he owed him. When Anna found him Rex had lost his arm, the remains being poorly cauterized. Still determined to get his revenge, Rex helped lead Anna to the gangs leader. Afterwards Rex lost consciousness from his wounds, and Anna brought him back to her apartment to tend to him. Having worked well together and feeling bad for him Anna gave part of her pay from the job to get Rex a cybernetic arm and the two of them started working together Rex also deciding to take up mercenary work, though he tended to be more careful an planning more. Rex also took espionage jobs or jobs in data recovery rather than just the mercenary work and bounty hunting that Anna had done before.
After working together for some time Rex moved into Annas apartment and the two of them started dating.

Set up for comic I never finished:
On a job to apprehend a rogue scientist that had been performing illegal human testing Anna was critically wounded. The scientist Sevren gave her a mysterious vial saying that it would save her. With Rex too far away and no other option she injects herself with the vial before passing out. Waking up she finds herself at home with Rex, her wounds mysteriously already healed. Rex had bandaged her wounds and dragged her home but by the time Anna woke up she already didn’t need her bandages as her wounds were already healed. Though she does find herself quite hungry.
The vial contained experimental nanites that give Anna an improved ability to heal from injuries as well as making her slightly more healthy, cleaning her blood and improving other biological functions. Unfortunately the nanites have the side effect of increasing Anna's appetite and as part of the improved biological functions the nanites increase the efficiency of conversion of excess calories to fat.

Part 1 Weight transitions from 130lbs to 225 lbs: Gain from Nanites
Anna finds it hard adjusting to her new metabolism putting on a large amount of weight. Drilled into her by her parents that she needs to stay slim she has trouble adjusting to the weight and is embarrassed by how big she is getting. She desperately tries to figure out what is happening and how to stop it.
Part 2 Weight transitions from 255lbs to 310 lbs: Rex Confesses
In an attempt to make Anna feel better Rex confesses that he likes big girls and he thinks she looks cute with her new chubby figure. Anna slowly relaxes and stops trying to lose weight. She still gains weight but it slows down quite a bit and she starts to enjoy her new figure.
Part 3 Weight Transitions from 310lbs to 450lbs: Anna Becomes a Feedee
As she gets more and more attention from Rex about her size. And the two of them start doing things like introducing feeding into the bedroom and dates involve more and more stuffing. Anna rebels once again from her parents deciding to embrace the figure she thinks is beautiful instead of what others think. Anna embraces the feedee lifestyle fully and puts on a large amount of weight.
Part 4 Weight Transition from 450lbs to 600lbs: Anna Retires
Anna had already moved to doing mostly support and reconnaissance work with Rex taking over the more active parts of the job as she had gotten too big to do mercenary work, deciding to finally retire from that line of work completely Anna can finally indulge herself even further than before. She uses some of her savings to buy a small bar, renaming it to the Fat Cat bar. Rex also retired from mercenary work to spend more time with Anna helping out at the bar. Anna occasionally takes on local food challenges and competitive eating to indulge her competitive side.

What an adorable character - and an intriguing story. Hopefully, one day, you might find yourself in the mood to go forward with your ideas for her.

Plus: obviously, we realize how this particular artwork came about, and that this was not intended to be a ref sheet - but this has to be one of the most comprehensive references on FA, complete with built-in wg sequence. You could get a patent on that, and sell these to many of us here...

If I ever end up in the position where I'm doing, furry art full or even part time rather than just in my free time after work. Then I would defiantly want to finally going forward with it. Until then I don't have the time and I don't want it to turn in to one of those projects where it gets one page a month before getting dropped after 3 years because the artist gets board. I spent a long time working on the portrait or her being mad to get it to look right so i'm glad you like how it turned out. I don't do enough varied expressions so i took this as a good opportunity to practice. Also, I find it hard to believe that no one else has added a little wg sequence to there character sheet before.
Hey, this is better than we get with most characters and stories that abruptly stop, never to be finished. I'd rather more artist who have to stop for whatever reasons they have to at least give some sort of outline of what would have happened, rather than being left in the dark and never knowing how things would turn out. Trying to come up with your own ending on someone else's work in your head is just not satisfying. I appreciate this highly.
I dunno about that last part. Even with finished works, I might still come up with my own ending just on a whim. Mainly because I’m a bit degenerate and like to see this kind of thing taken to extremes.
Though in this case…I mean, the 600lb milestone is a good endpoint as a story, but there’s nothing stopping Anna from going beyond that. Far, far beyond…

The nanites seem to be portrayed as a trap, but the fact that they work seems like a massive step in medical technology.
Think about it: for the cost of getting your appetite hijacked and eating yourself huge, you get to walk off any bodily harm short of amputation. Besides people who start or end up into the fatness, I’d bet there are tons of people who would take them mainly for the healing factor: sure, they’d become a blob, but it would be worth it to be harder to kill. Or, probably harder to get killed accidentally: between the usefulness of the healing and the hindrance of the fat in highly active settings like mercenary work, the best use for these nanites might be to prevent all those accidents in those workplace safety videos you might see from time to time.

she’s super pretty and cool! the sheer effort that you put into her backstory and lore is pretty amazing—as much as i like wg stuff that is just spur of the moment with no explanation, the backstory stuff i really really enjoy. because it allows me to understand the character a lot more and relate, as well as simply making it feel more realistic. thank you for working so hard on this, even if i'm just a new fan hahaha- the work really shows, and always remember to make time for yourself and never feel you're at the mercy of others!! :) i love her angry face too oh my gosh, i can literally hear her pissed off tone
