⦁ Biography: Moriko is one of the many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being the twin sister to Mathilde. As she was born a minute after Mathilde, Moriko is the younger twin of the two. Like virtually any other of her human/mermaid siblings, Moriko was inspired by her father to be a fighter to defend worlds from the reaches of evil wherever it may cast its shadow. This lead to her following Mathilde into becoming a monk to help in the never ending struggle against darkness. However, whereas Mathilde was more than willing to throw herself into the heat of battle, Moriko has a natural talent for healing most of all. So while Moriko trained herself as a monk on Pandaria alongside Mathilde, she found an affinity with the mists & was well inversed with Mistweaving. As such, Moriko spent a lot of time perfecting her martial arts, and the art of mistweaving until both were at the point of being flawless, thus permitting her to be a fighter just like her father is. Like most of her family, she often receives invitations to be a part of the Alliance as a representative, but she always turns them down, preferring not to pick sides. Even so, Moriko's always ready when asked to help fight off evil whether it be on Azeroth, her own home of Olympus, or even in any other world. In contrast to Mathilde, Moriko is the more level headed twin, never rushing into a situation without thinking first. And as with any other of Juni & Palutena's offspring, she is a rather kind & caring individual. Yet, she does tend to space out on occasion. She's also a bit of a pacifist, preferring not to throw her fists unless it's the only thing that can be done. Like Mathilde, Moriko is an absolute mudlark & loves to sink herself in quicksand the first moment she hears signs of it. Though a fan of Pandaren cuisine, it is topped only by her love for pizza, and she is always eager for it to be lunch & dinner. However, if there's one brand of pizza she'll never touch, it's Hawaiian pizza. She will also be quick to shoot down anchovies on pizza. The best at cooking with a wok.
⦁ Abilities: Being 1/2 mermaid, Moriko assumes her mermaid form anytime she enters the water. However, she, like many of her other human/mermaid hybrid siblings, will only transform if the water is clear, fresh, or seawater. Given her status as a Mistweaver Monk, Moriko focuses on keeping her allies alive & well and so does not take part in much fighting. However, she knows a multitude of martial arts forms & is handy with weapons so she is by no means defenseless. Even so, Moriko is fast & nimble on her feet, so this only makes her a target that's even harder to hit. She knows all a Mistweaver Monk is capable of learning, and these are her starting weapons.
⦁ Jade Bo-Staff: The favored weapon of Moriko. It is a brilliant jade staff made specifically for combat. Its long reach allows her to stay out of harm's way & block attacks.
⦁ Serpent Staff: A staff that also has combat merit, but is primarily used for when healing is needed. The serpent is that of a viper rather than a cloud serpent however.
⦁ Sheilun, Staff of the Mists: Moriko's own copy of the original staff itself. It can easily manipulate the mists as the original, and serve as a good healer as well.
⦁ Jade Knuckle Gloves: A pair of weighted knuckle gloves with a brilliant jade sheen. Less lethal than brass knuckles & claws, but they get the job done.
⦁ Dragon Dao: A one-handed sabre with a dragon motive, hence the name, stretching from the guard to the pommel. Its single edge is sharp enough to slice open armor, and still cut through vegetation & wood.
⦁ Silver Jian: A one-handed sword that is not as strong as the Dragon Dao, but its double-edged blade gets the coverage done if necessary.
⦁ Dragon Guandao: A pole-arm also sporting a dragon motive stretching from the guard to the staff. Stronger than the staves, this guandao is usually used if the bo staff will not work in certain situations.
⦁ Jade Mace: A one-handed hammer with a brilliant jade sheen. Though hardly used, it packs a wallop when aimed at the right spots on an enemy.
⦁ White Axe: A one-handed axe made of a white metal. It is so well refined, it retains its lovely appearance even after battles.
