well you need two people. One holds the cat and you keep all but the foot being done wrapped in a towel. the other person which is me usually holds that foot and presses so the claws come out and slips on a soft claw. then you press until it dries so it wont slip off when they wriggle. Eventually they dont put up a fight and it gets easier.
