Schwarzpelz - Chapter 8 - Part 26
Would kinda like the talking segment to stop honestly xd
Still gotta cover a few points though, just a few more pages. Then the chapter can end on a more wholesome note~
At least next page will have a random Schwarzi maw, so that's a plus xd
Anyway, hope you still like it

Maybe it's not a trap, but the safety of the place is exaggerated. Since we already know where the Fruits come from, there's not much stopping them from popping up on another planet. If all the people went over to that world, the beings in charge of the Fruits might just plant another tree on the new planet. And it starts all over again.
And even if not everyone leaves for the new planet, maybe the Fruits will pop up there anyway. It's a slim hope, and possibly a false one. May as well stay put and rebuild.

Remember how Schwarzi said back on the page 22 of chapter 2 that those fruits shouldn't exist on that world, the one where they live? I think that means they somehow built a portal big enough for him to go through to this other planet Aodori and that's why he was shocked when he looked at Cherry's forehead and saw the mark of a fruit. They're on this other planet during the main story. It seems many generations later these fruits and the drifter children turning into monsters because of them has been forgotten by the main masses.
If I'm right, I hope that Celia's dad's plan to make Schwarzi leave the past behind and make him give up on his wish to destroy the current timeline and make a new one where the tree never existed works. I know a lot of innocent people died because of the tree and the giant beasts it created, but you never know if changing the past will only make things worse than they are.
BTW, to me, this is NOT walls of text.
I know you like to put as little text as possible into your drawings, but comic stories of this magnitude need that text.
And yes, it's always possible to explain everything in just images. However I'm sure that you are well aware that in doing so tend to multiply the quantity of images needed in an exponential way. The same thing is done in movies where instead of acting events that would by themselves take the length of an entire movie to act and be put on celluloid are instead explained out loud in 3 to 5 minutes using the actor talking among themselves like in a meeting around a table or camp fire. That way they save hours of movie making that might be kind of boring to the viewer or way too expensive to shoot. Same with comic drawing! So text is IMO the right way to go when use judiciously like you are doing. Also, text is often the only way to express abstract thought or concept. So, I much prefer an intelligent talking Schwarzy than just a plain gigantic dog walking around, in page upon page of drawing where we have to kind of figure out the WHY.
