* Production - This picture was probably one of the easiest ones in the series to do and turned out better than I had hoped for. The sketching looked good from the start and once the modifications and detailing work had been done in the final version of the line art stage it was ready to be colored. Using the new technique and starting with a dark base color the gradual use of lighter colors and shading work produced a very good result. The mouth was similar, dark to lighter color on the same layer as the rest of the character, making good use of the mixer brush tool to smooth transitional lighting effects. The background was a piece of artwork done by Kaha Tamu on Deviant Art and on their page it said that artists could use it as a background if credit was given. To finish this piece I used a bright orange color to highlight the Zard's face and head on the side that the light is hitting it.
* Story - There really isn't much of a story to this picture other than to say that its a Charaizard maw, (my favorite pokemon. )
*Note - The next piece of artwork in this set will be posted two weeks from today on Friday July 8th. The July 1st weekend is a holiday and there is also a major convention happening that weekend so no art next week.
