This story outline is inspired by Neopuc's story "changing the world." As I found the original ending to depressing I decided to right a sequel explaining what happens when the ants build some more shrink rays. This story shows a progression from fear, mistrust and downright racism, to tolerance and friendship aided by a change in perspective. This story is in the vein of, but vastly inferior to, the Devil in the dark story from the original start trek.
