“So what do we do about them?” Maria asks, mainly just watching the kid transform. With his shirt torn we can still see him, though he is easily a fraction of his former size.

“Well, I think it’s fairly obvious that we need to take him with us. Given how crowded everything is right now I don’t exactly feel his chances are all that good on his own. And so you’ll just have to add him to the list of people you have to keep protected.”

“And why do I have to be the one protecting him? You’re the one that bit him,” Maria complains.

“Because if it wasn’t for you pushing me out into his view we might have been able to simply sneak past him. And you did say you wanted me to spread it, so that means protecting him is your responsibility.”

“Fair enough, I suppose.”

And even if it is the logical thing to make him follow us I suppose there is the issue of whether or not they’ll actually end up accepting our help. But he’ll be completely defenseless outside of his own skills as a pokemon, and the impression I’m getting from my instincts just looking at his mostly transformed state is that he would not be much of a threat to me. Might even have lost to his own pokemon.
