It saddens me to see how normalized cropping dobermann's (among other breeds, same goes for cane corso, beauceron, rottweiler, etc) ears and tail is.

Please, if you care about animal well being, spread the message, don't do that. Dobermann is a beautiful breed as it is, there's no need to alter their natural features solely to meet our fantasies.

Here in Belgium, it's illegal to remove part of an animal for other than medical reasons, it's also illegal to sell a dog that suffered from mutilating surgeries. Yet a lot of dog on the street still have that look because people import them from other countries where the cropping is not illegal. We need to stop this.
