That's one game I'm not really mourning to have been forgotten, I played through once and never gave it another run, the insanely high monster encounter rate is a chore to deal with.

They fixed that in the Gamecube remaster/port

A vastly under-rated game, IMHO

A blast from the past game. Had a friend who was obsessed with this game back in the day, but I sadly never picked it up but watched them play and absorb story via osmosis. So when this popped up in my inbox, was like "No way, can't be her." And it was. Ahh the memories.

Still one of the best RPGs ever made! I love seeing folks give Skies of Arcadia love!

SEGA technically already did. Skies of Arcadia: Legends. It was ported and remastered for the Gamecube, and was infinitely better than the Dreamcast version. More stuff to do, much better graphics, and actual facial expressions.

That said, a "rerelease" on the Playstation or Steam would not be taken badly by old fans like you and I, and may even get new fans in the RPG fandom.

And now that GC version is basically impossible to get ahold of, thanks to the false scarcity all the console's games suffer from and people reselling on Ebay thinking it's at all reasonable to expect hundreds of dollars for a game.

Skies of Arcadia and a number of other great Dreamcast games really deserve another, more accessible rerelease, and some of them didn't even get one to begin with.

Skies of Arcadia art wooooooooooooooo~!

Skies is one of my fave games ever! It was a bit of a hoot when Sega put Vyse and Akika in Valkyrie Chronicles as crew members! We need a new port and a squeal !!!

Fina was there too, she was a Medic though so you only saw her when you rescued a fallen member

Played this game again for the first time in years, so seeing such cool fan art makes me happy. Always nice to see people remember it!
