I blamed the weather.
Despite the warning that it would rain any moment, she insisted to come around on foot and do her work with me at my place since she left part of it here the last time she came around. But of course, the weather had other plans with this day and it was pouring down moments later outside. She didn't picked up at her place, neither was she here at this time when the clouds broke down.
With that knowledge, i fetched my jacket and umbrella and ran off outside in the stream of rain that came down quickly while trying to reach her on her mobile, which she luckily picked up after a few rings, managing to find her thanks to her description. And what i saw, was both pityful and somehow adorable at the same time.
There she was, under a tree, her clothes soaking wet and her arms tucked around her bag at a attempt to save her work from the water, her body shaking slightly because of the cold wind blowing at her wet fur while sniffing softy in a mix of helplessness and freezing.
She was far more relieved to see me than i was and i offered my umbella to hold it for her as we went back to my home. Reaching the designated place, i fetched some towels and some clothes for the spragon she could wear while her were drying up, but most of the sizes were too big for her so she was stuck with one of my shirts. Obsidian didn't minded at all though.
Changing myself and getting some dry clothes on me aswell, i did notice that she entered my room while doing so and she stood there, slightly embarassed and twiddling with her toes and pulling at the rim of the shirt she was wearing, looking down at the floor.
"What's wrong ?" i asked, curious of why she standing like that.
She shook her head quickly after a brief pause. "N ... nothing. Just .... "
"Just ... what ?"
"I ..." she flushed at her cheeks slightly, not knowing if it was just a cold she was getting, or because of something else, yet she still was playing with her toes alot. "To be honest ... i just wanted to see you, actually.
I blinked in surprise and had the nagging feeling that i was missing out something. Something important. I turning my head, then it hit me as i looked on the alarm clock.
It was the 14th of February.
I sighed and turned back.
"Silly girl." i said, and rested my hands on her shoulders, where she promptly tensed up a little, giving her a kiss on her forehead. She relaxed thankfully and smiles up to me, eventually embracing me. - Which was promptly returned from my side as i guided her to the bed, keeping her close.
"Thank you." she said with a soft voice. For what she was saying that, i did not know. It didn't mattered for me anyway.
"You are one troublesome spragon, you know ?" I whispered back, only following with a soft kiss on her lips to cover up her smile she then displayed on her face.
Yes, i blame the weather for this.
