God help him. It was the cheese wheel. It was so beautiful. He heard mention of it being used, but didn't believe them. "oh we'll only need a little." It was such a beautiful wheel. Coming home the table had scraps of cheese, familiar cheese. Picking up a piece, it smelled familiar, tasted familiar. Fear growing with every second, he entered the kitchen, and there it was. They hacked it, brutally. There were bits of cheese on the floor, on the board, on the sink. Tears welling in his eyes, he heard his friend enter the kitchen. Turing with a tear running down his cheek, he lifted a scrap of remains up and softly asked
"why? why did you have to cut the cheese?"
"why? why did you have to cut the cheese?"
Been there too many times to count.
You don't need to explain because a picture can speak thousands of words unless you've been there or been punched in the gut when you least expect it.
Yep, I've been there and still am there so it's made me more bitter and or keeping my five o' clock shadow a lot longer because what I find ends up pissing me off more.

"With the break up letter torn in half, and laying crumpled at his feet, nothing else seemed to matter. He felt empty; not drained, just hollow, with no soul within his fragile shell of a body. With his last ounce of strength, he sunk into the couch, and covered his eyes with his hands. No tears, he just wanted to block out the light, and seek refuge in the darkness.
He showed no anger or sadness, just a quiet and calm demeanor, listening to the sound of his own breathing, his own heartbeat, and the million voices in his head. "Why? Why did she have to leave me?"
He wanted to show his anger, and find some justification for his sorrow. The voices in his head began to stir. "God damn her! Like she's even worth my fucking time! Tear out my insides some more you fucking cunt! I... I..."
But no anger came to him, just tears, and a feeling of being feckless and inadequate. He gave a thin, sarcastic smirk, realizing that world turns a lot slower when one feels broken and rejected.
His very being was shattered; torn to pieces like the letter on the floor, the shredded remains of his relationship, gone within a breath, and left only to be forgotten."
How was that?
