Ok I am a bit shy about this, since I can't play the piano very well. I always liked it though, as simple as it is. If I could play better, or get the chance to play a piano again I would pad this out more.
Something I played a few years ago. I know I am not great at playing, I have never been taught how to play the piano but I've always wanted to be able to play u.u; So to all your Pianists out there, please don't be too hard on me alright? X3!
I have a usb midi keyboard which I used to play this in one take (minus the really high pitched bit over the middle which I added afterwards), and let me tell you it's REALLY TINY so it's horrible to play anything on. I wish I had a proper piano but unless I can pull about 13k out of my arse I doubt I will get one any time soon.
The piece is based on my original song "My Most Dear" (which I want to re-record... along with a hundred other songs >.>;;) and was originally recorded using a nylon-strung guitar and vocals.
I am thinking of adding vocals to this... hmm! I've written a lot of simple paino based pieces of music but I am pretty shy about using them in any songs since I'd probably get told I sucked hahaha!
Unfortunately since the keyboard is so basic it doesnt pick up any expression in the keystrokes, which is a pity. But oh well.

^_^!! Well thank you dear, I am glad it didn't sound too bad >.>;; For the most part it was in time but a couple of delays in some of the notes because the damn keyboard is so small! I know I did this some years ago now. Even with my tiny fingers those midi keyboards are hard to play without hitting adjacent keys all the time u.u;;; I think it only has like 14 keys as well which makes life even harder to play it. hahahaha~!
I used to get the opportunity to play the piano a little when I used to date a guy a while back whose mother was a music teacher. She always said I could probably learn properly without much trouble and that she thought I'd had some lessons before she found out I was just playing things by myself by ear. ^^;;
My parents never thoguht much of my musical interests and only let me learn the guitar, I wasn't even that interested about learning it either! I started learning that when I was 7 years old but I secretly wanted to be a pianist >=l Those mean parents of mine. At least I managed to scrounge a keyboard off of my dad a long time ago, god knows if it still even exists... I wonder if I can steal it back sometime XD!

She always said I could probably learn properly without much trouble and that she thought I'd had some lessons before she found out I was just playing things by myself by ear. ^^;;

You know, I think you may be the only one that actually wanted to play the piano. I was forced to learn xD;; But that was probably because my older sister learned how to, so I was made to since we owned a piano. Thing is out of tune but still sounds decent enough.
Interesting, interesting so you learned how to play by ear? I find those people geniuses xD Since even after learning to play, I could never play something by ear, have to see the sheet music in front of me or pretty much have it committed to muscle memory.
And you didn't want to learn how to play the guitar? But you be awesome-ness on the guitar @@; I have learned much about you this day and it be all interesting info. Good luck to stealing the keyboard back if it still exists ^^
Probably does, buried somewhere under shirts and random boxes and whatnot. Just then goes to the question of whether or not it still works. Never ever had the opportunity to take a keyboard apart to see what makes one tick. But with my history of electronics, if it doesn't work more often than not it is just due to a fuse being blown out. A cheapo less than a buck in most cases fuse, that can render a $500+ object to cease functioning. I got a very nice soldering station that my school was going to throw out that way. Mwahahaha xD

If you really, really want to play piano, a cheap usb keaboard and the right plugins should do it. I am still wanting one XD and I am still trying to save up, damn this takes so long :/ Dunno, for the last few weeks I had very much fun in doing piano covers, but it's not the same when you sequence it, as when you would play it by yourself.

Well mine is actually JUST a usb midi controller input. It isn't a keyboard/synthesiser, if that's what you thought I had. My OLD synthesiser was too old for USB support, though I think I have a midi lead for it somewhere which didn't work with it >.>;;; bah! I was really happy to find one when I was a wee girl and I was really disappointed when it didn't work ;o;!
