Saigora was the 52nd Kaiju by order of Appearance, who served as the Monster of the week in Ep.36 – "Great Power! Mysterious Supernatural Monster" – in the Dinosaur Great War Izenborg TV series.
_Bio and Abilities_
Saigora was a the 3rd Kaiju to attack the D-Squad base since Kerala and Ptera in Ep.13, possessing a plethora of abilities some of which veer on the supernatural: it was able to fire two beams from the three eyes located on the forehead - a destructive red beam and a blue one that help him create multiple reflections of himself to confuse his opponents; more over, Saigora was able to sneak into D-Base by possessing a human, Mihongo, visiting the facility and walk around in a flame like ethereal form without been seeing prior to its revelation – in it it was able to burn objects and people; Finally, Saigora could blow winds to create a small tornado and split in half, with the upper Body possessing thrusters under the torso for flight, indicating it was cyborg.
Saigora's head was modified from the head of the Ninja Kaiju Dororo.
_Story_
Saigora appears at the start of the episode as Grottes monologues about his next plan against Ai, Zen and D-Force. Later, a man (the name I get is Mihongo Hagase) arrives to the base, showing his unique mental talents, giving an example to members by making apples disappear with the power of thought, however, Barra's pet Sloth Nimbu takes fear of the Mihongo. Later, when taking to his room, he shows disdain for flowers, as he is reminded of the death of his only love (Kikue) at the hands of a biker while picking these.
Later that night, the Mihongo has a dreams of the Kikue, that change as Grottes and Saigora exert their influence on him; a flame like ethereal entity (Saigora) emerges from the man and walks the base, the Sloth Nimbu feeling its presence; the Entity causes damage and killed two men in the process. Zen goes check and Mihongo, though he suspects of the visitor after seeing in a state of sweat and reminded of Nimbu's reaction to his presence.
Mihongo goes to bed again and the process starts all over again, this time, Zen keeping an eye on the room, but no one coming out, while Mihongo still is in bed: Zen using his sensors, follows the intruder to Prof. Torii's room, where the creature tries to kill him, though the professor avoids it, with Zen shooting at the beast revealing its image – the pain of the shoot wakes Mihongo up breaking the assault; after talking with Mihongo and showing a picture of the creature, the visitor confesses he been seeing it in its dreams, as result from an experiment in his lab sometime back.
Concern he may be possess by a Kaiju, they take him to the lab to force it out with rays, but the influence of both Grottes and Saigora drive him mad and runs out of the facility, jumping from a cliff, trying to kill it; Mihongo survives and so does Saigora, who comes out to launch its attack on the Base. The group returns to the base and Deploy the Izenborg Unites, with Ai and Zen dealing with the beast, while Ippei and Barra deal with fires around the base. During the fight with IzenOne, the beast repeated falls, causes avalanches that almost bury it; Saigora then tries to hold it back with a gust of wind, forcing the siblings to Cross into Super Izenborg and cut the creature from the torso with Folding Cutters, only to discover it still alive and able to fly around with thrusters, more than once. Ai and Zen then combine as Aizenborg.
After a one on one, largely dominated by the Humanoid, Saigora then uses its Trump Card: the reflector beam, making multiple reflections of itself, which Aizenborg fails to take down. Aizenborg then tries a dual Katana attack, then Izenkicks the beast out of the Reflection (dunno how he does it, he just does) now Aizen becoming the multiple reflections (again he just does, albeit briefly). He then begins to spin, forcing the monster to spin as well (dunno why?) and dashes straight to Saigora, causing the Beast to Explode.
Later, Ai, Zen and Mihongo lay flowers over Kikue's grave, the latter no longer showing disdain for these, as well thanking them for helping him out.
