You know who doesn't get any love, or even any but the dimmest recollection except maybe from
bakertoons and possibly
tkdye? Crazy Claws, that's who. This was one of the backup shorts in The Kwicky Koala Show. His deal was he was Groucho Marx but a wildcat, and he divided his time between harassing a fur trapper and harassing the park ranger. Fun cartoon, as I remember, with an admirably dense number of jokes considering this was Hanna-Barbera in 1981, and I'm sure it hasn't aged a day.
Anyway, I wanted some simple sketches and let me put drawing time on more prestige projects and here you go, here's simple.
I don't know who to credit for the original character design, but it has got that Hanna-Barbera chic of involving fewer lines than it looks like. I guess they were saving animator time for keeping those spots in place.
Oh wait I bet
sirkain remembers Crazy Claws too, but that's got to be it.

I remember! I appreciated when they turned up, although I'm not sure it was ever on a predictable schedule. It was seeing them on Boomerang that got me to appreciate that at least Crazy Claws was trying for that Groucho Marx fast-paced dialogue; a lot of cartoons would have been happy to deliver one line, let it sit for a while, and then maybe get around to another.
